Mitchell didn't lose any teeth until first grade so I was really shocked when Emery told me she had a loose tooth. Apparently she had been eating pretzels and she bit into one that was really hard. It knocked her tooth loose. After wiggling it around for a few hours she pulled it out by herself. She was so excited and fascinated with it that she lost it before she got it under her pillow. I hope the tooth fairy will understand.

Just a funny story....
Emery loves to read books. She loves when I read books to her. We have a series of books about manners that she loves and usually picks atleast one in her stack of books to read every night.
The other night I was sitting on the couch and she came walking over and I asked her to go in the kitchen and get something for me. She said "NO". I was a little surprised and asked why.

She reminded me about the books we have been reading and pretty much quoted this page exactly......

I heard that there are many rewards when you start reading to your kids at a young age- not really the reward I was looking for!
oh, they are sooo smart, aren't they? That is really funny. Not for you of course, because she's figured out a way to get out of doing things for you :)
ReplyDeleteHILARE. Seriously. That is the best. Er....the worst. So sorry.
ReplyDeleteGotta love when they remember those things. If only they could have "selective" memories and we could decide when and how they are used.
ReplyDeleteSooooo funny! I can just hear Emery saying that to you. Ha! Ha! I can't believe she lost a tooth already! Wow! Our babies are getting big. I hope the tooth fairy found the tooth.
