4th grade!?!

I am sad that 3rd grade is over. Mitchell had a great year. He had a perfect report card the whole year (except absences!), the best teacher and great friends, including Nick (cousin) again. He would never admit that he likes school, but he really excelled this year. They had an assembly on the last day of school and he received several awards.

I love Mrs. Perkins! I am going to miss her!

Summer break lasted 25 days ....

and then 4th grade started!!!

He didn't want any part of me taking him to school. Nick came over and after torturing them with a photo shoot they ran off.

His teacher is brand new, fresh out of college. When he came home I asked how it was. There were no details but he surprised me by saying "I can't believe I am going to say this, but I can't wait to go back tomorrow!" Yahoo! I hope it lasts.

Pioneer Tournament Champions!

#1 Blue Sox!

4 games in 2 days, undefeated for 1st place!

Mitchell has had a great baseball season. He has been on a team with awesome kids, parents and coaches. Now I am hoping his football team will be the same. I can dream, right?

Camping....my favorite so far....

I have a lot of memories of camping with my Dad, but I think only one trip where we have pictures to prove it. I guess that is why I am so obsessed with the camera. This might seem like a lot of pictures, but compared to how many Karen and I actually took, it's nothing.

Karen and Michelle took Emery with them, while Dan and I took Mitch to a baseball tournament in Salem. We arrived at about 9:30pm. It was only one night but a lot of fun!

Gotta love a meal when everyone cooks for themselves.

Rain, rain...........

I thought we lived in a desert, but all the rain this spring and summer made me wonder.I love how green everything is. The smell of rain is one of my most favorites. We had quite a few baseball games and practices cancelled, but Emery loved it.

Take me out to the ball game (again)....

summer job

Bob is so good to let the kids "help" him.

Max and Mitch were the diggers.

Alex's job was to put the tree in the ground.

Nick was the waterer.

Emery and Grace were there to ask a lot of questions.

Max didn't mind mixing the stinky mulch.

Admiring their work.

A $5 payday- not too bad!
